Nobody expected to love a sponge
PLATZHALTER: Bought it as a joke gift for my sister and then immediately ordered two for myself. It actually scrubs. That was the surprise.
PLATZHALTER: Six weeks in, washed it in the machine four times, still looks new. My old sponge never made it past week two.

Will it scratch my nonstick pans?
No. Frubbies are made from a loop-texture scrubbing yarn that's non-scratch on nonstick coatings, glass and glazed ceramic. We don't recommend them for burnt-on cast iron, that's a job for steel.
How long does one last?
About two to three months of daily dishwashing. Rinse it out after use and let it dry, and it'll go the distance. Machine wash it warm every couple of weeks to keep it fresh.
Can I put it in the washing machine?
Yes, that's the point. Wash warm with your towels, air dry. It keeps its shape and its sparkle.
How fast do you ship?
Orders leave our US warehouse within 1–2 business days. Standard shipping lands in 3–5 days, and it's free on orders over $25.
Do you ship to California?
Not yet, but we're working on it. Everywhere else in the US, yes.

What's it made of?
80% polyester, 20% nylon, crocheted all the way through, no filling, no foam core. The yarn has a fine metallic thread woven through it, which is where the shimmer comes from. Made in China.
The no-filling part matters more than it sounds. A regular sponge traps water in its foam core, and that's exactly where the smell starts. A frubbie has nothing inside to hold water, so it dries from every side.
Frubbies are an adult household cleaning product, not a toy. They look like fruit on purpose, which is exactly why they should stay out of reach of small children and pets.
What if I don't love it?
Send it back within 30 days for a full refund. Used, unused, doesn't matter. We'd rather you tell us why than keep a scrubber you don't like.
